WOYWW 356

The teapot is still naked. The jar to the right has pins for the next attempt at a tea cozy, topped with a roll of 1/8th inch score tape. I'm getting ready to stamp some sets for my stamp book. The post-it pad has a quote scribbled down from an episode of "This American Life" podcast.

I finally got all my non-kit Papertrey Ink stamps into the same storage. It took me about a year, but it makes me happy : D. I used Avery Elle envelopes, ant there's even room to store the coordinating dies. A short piece of cardboard keeps the two sides separate. Now I only have to figure out how to store my other stamps (all different shapes and sizes). My knee is feeling much better, but I haven't resumed "running" (it's really a very very very slow jog) yet.

Make It Monday #243: Ink Blending Over Heat Embossing

Make It Monday #243: Ink Blending Over Heat Embossing. Using Rustic White cardstock as a base, I stamped the Mat Stack 4 from Modern Wood Mats with Versamark and then heat embossed the images with clear embossing powder. Then I blended Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink over them. The Just for You sentiment and laurel are from the Lovely Laurels mini kit and the fox and rabbit cutouts are from the Wee Folk mini kit.

March 2016 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Today is Papetrey Ink's March 2016 Blog Hop. I stitched "hello" using Papertrey Ink's Quick Stitch Sentiments hello die in Rustic Cream Twine (more visible in person, especially because of the texture). The pattern is stamped with lots of flowers from Peonies On Parade, then colored with Distress Markers (Spun Sugar, Tattered Rose and Squeezed Lemonade) then masked  and stamped with the lace stamp from Waltzingmouse Stamps Faux Fun with Ranger Coffee Archival Ink, then the background was painted with Stormy Seas ink smooshed on nonstick craft mat applied with an aqua brush.

The teapot is still naked, so I decided to do a little stamping (Peonies on Parade by Papertrey Ink) colored with some Distress Markers currently lounging over my favorite Tim Holtz Grid Block. I managed to twist my right knee and the doctor says rest it and see how it feels in a week, so my energy for stamping has gone through the roof.

Spring is in the Air

The base is Papertrey Ink's Stormy Sea stamped with the ticket from Tim Holtz' The Journey set with Stormy Sea ink and Wendy Vecchi's Vintage Lace stamp with Picket Fence Distress Ink (also used to distress the top of the card. The sentiment is from Tulip Time. The Doily Details die cut is stamped with Altenew's Vintage Roses (stamped in Lovely Lady, Autumn Rose, and Scarlet Jewel inks). There are also two fussy cut roses attached with layers of foam tape over Papertrey Ink's Fresh Snow Velvet Ribbon (I might be addicted to this). Crystal sequins for the finishing touch.

Inside, I stamped the set of three from Tulip Time and attached a Spiral Notebook Page die cut (from Patterned Vellum) stamped with sentiments from Inside & Out: Well Wishes attached with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher with the staples colored gold with Ranger's Gold Alcohol Ink.

I have little experience with tea cozies or pattern making, but apparently that doesn't deter me lol. Fingers crossed as the project is wayyy over due.

WOYWW 352

The working space of my work desk. To the back left a set of three delightful stencils by Papertrey Ink (Modern Background). The stack in the front are some lovely stamp sets (some with dies) waiting to be used. And my new Picket Fence inkpad, also waiting to be used. Now that I'm breathing properly again, I have more energy for crafting. And even managed to go to my Walk to Run class after missing it for a month and played pickleball too.

So what used to be on my work desk has shifted to the side (this leopard will probably never change her spots lol). A scrapbook page waiting for the final bit of journaling and a pull tab for it. Right under that a set of three magnetic vent covers waiting to be transformed by die on clearance for $3 and some change. The baskets with the holes in the back hold set sets filed alphabetically except for Alphabets and Mini Kits which are stored with their own. Some holes only stitching dies from Simon Says Stamp.

Bunnies! from Simply Spring Borders Papertrey Ink. Used to embellish this layout.

Head over to Julia's for more crafty peeks : D. I should be able to link it up properly this week lol.
