Playing with Serenade with Flowerdisco and Friends - Week 4

It's week 4 already! The lost camera has been found  and recharged (yay).  This week I turned one set of Cricut cuts into two cards by layering the positive and the negatives.  I used the new Papertrey Ink Linen cardstock as the base of both cards, cutting one 8.5 x 11" sheet in two. All the cuts are made from Club Scrap paper from some Pounds of Paper I bought on sale awhile ago. And there is a lot of dimension to both cards with either glue dots or foam tape being used almost everywhere. The sentiment is made with Papertrey Ink's Simple Alphabet stamp set.

The first card is made with positive shapes. The tree branch is stamped with Papertrey Ink's Beyond Basics: Woodgrain stamp set. The sentiment is stamped on a tag tied to the branch. The embellishments are made with Dimensional Pearls.

The second card is made with the negative shapes of the shadow and base stacked over a green base. The edges were inked with Papertrey Ink Chamomile and Chai.
Be sure to check out what everyone else made!

wo hoo snap!
you fooled me with the branch. Before reading I was thinking: "look how nice her branch looks with that paper making look like wood" and after reading I learned it was a stamp, lol. Great job! Also, very clever to use the negative and make another card.
The texture of the first card, the blue background; wow! is awesome. I have a paper like that but I think from K&CO. Love that texture and you say PTI has it? yay! I need to order some paper for first time so shoot me an email and let me know the numbers, :)Thanks for playing Serenade with us.

Oh how clever to use the negatives for two cards with two totally different but fabulous looks! I really love the woodgrain and pearls framing the corners!

All the paper used for cutting was part of Club Scrap POPs (Pound of Paper). They had a big sale earlier in the year with POPs in various color groups made up of paper from different kits. I believe the dark blue paper comes from the 2005 Mosiac Twist Kit. They sell a pound of paper cut into different smaller sizes sorted into 9 different colors. The url for these is http://www.clubscrap.com/pgdrv2.cfm?c=ghm/item_details&iID=16639&b=std&scid=40&cid=20&pgNum=1.

The off-white cardstock that I used to make the base of the card is from Papertrey Ink. Sorry for the confusion (I probably should have had more coffee before I typed!). Papertry Ink's cardstock is a lovely smooth texture, perfect for stamping on.
