WOYWW 267

I've been having a ridiculous amount of fun making shaker cards. I am loving my Tim Holtz nonstick scissors for cutting very sticky foam tape.

Craftsy has a lot of free classes including a cardmaking class with a gift card pocket, slider card, shaker card and pop-up card. They also just added a free Stamping class. They sell supplies too, but if you are like me, you can shop from your stash lol.

Since I've been stamping and heat embossing so much when Wendy Vecchi said there was a 20% off sale at Simon Says Stamp on all Ranger products (a couple of weeks ago) I jumped at the chance to get a Heat It. OMGee, why did I wait? It's so quiet, it doesn't blow the embossing powder around and I don't feel like it is a fire hazard waiting for gravity. I had one I bought on sale that was about half the cost (noisier, blows things about more and it got so much hotter), but this is worth every penny.

Another unsolicited shout out. I don't know when I bought this but it had to be at least 14 years ago.  I bought it before I knew there was a difference between pigment and dye inks (I've only recently started stamping with pigments again). I needed rainbows and this filled the bill beautifully. I'm guessing they really don't want people waiting 14 years to use their products, but in this case, I'm glad I kept it around.

If you wan to see more crafty desks, head over to Julia's Stamping Ground and have a gander.

It's just so worth getting the correct tool, isn't it? Something as simple as a really good heat gun has made you happy...I love that :-). Those rainbow colours made me smile!

Some of mine are 25 years old...I had them at school! They are finally starting to disintegrate! How sad! #27

So right - totally Barney if in purple LOL!

I have at least 3 of those "petal pad" stamp pads and I still drag them out every now and then - Mine are at least as old as yours and I am amazed they have't dried out.

Happy WOYWW!

I have had one of those heat guns and the faster one for over 20 years and believe me when I say it was one of the best investments ever. You can't get slow heat guns here in Australia now through the craft outlets and the o/s ones are not compatible with our safety standards. Thanks for sharing and have fun with your petal pad, I have that too and yes it is a beauty.

Hugs Eliza and Happy T Day

That's impressive - 14 years old ink pads still working. I wonder what else you have in your stash! I've never heard of non stick scissors before. Great idea!
Have a lovely week

Hi Eliza, I totally agree about the heat-it tool!. I used to have a blue Anitas one, which was very loud. I saw the Tim one in use at a craft show, and was staggered by how quiet it was. The noise was an issue for me, as my sons bedroom was next to my craft room, and he worked nights, so I hesitated to use it. I love my Tim one, and would get another in an instant!I wasn't so lucky with my Colorbox Petal inks, Funny how you have them up this week, when earlier in the week, I spotted mine lurking on a shelf, and thought, I haven't used those for years! Totally, completely bone dry. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #64 xx

The little "petals" pull out (complete with a little handle under each pad) so you can use each one separately. I've yet to try it as a whole though lol.

Wow, I've also got one of those pigment ink colour boxes (unused) that I've had for years. I wonder if it's still good?
Thanks for dropping by too,
