WOYWW 297

It's the middle of a 10 day long 8th Anniversary Celebration over at Papertrey Ink. I'm working out an idea for the Spring Into Action Challenge where we use an unused or underused set. So of course it's the best time to conduct experiments lol.

This is a rather intricate secondary stamp cut from sticky back fun foam (put on a piece of plastic packaging) a technique I learned about at Stampe-a-faire 2014.  This is the result with Picked Raspberry Distress Paint rubbed over the fun foam. All the dies on my desk are from Papertrey Ink's Make It Market kit: Country Fair.

And outside it has been snowing. I treated myself to a snowplow contract. Only he's pushed all the snow from the driveway onto the sidewalk. Fortunately it was warm enough to do a John Henry through the pile before it froze. Hoping my flax survives being walked on until the thaw. The bank is  about 5 feet high, It's probably snowed about 3 feet over the last 2 weeks.

Head over to Julia's Stamping Ground to see more crafty workspaces.

Blimey, that's a lot of snow there! I'm so grateful that we haven't had much in our area this winter so far...in fact, we've got snowdrops out in bloom all around our village, real harbingers of Spring!
It was fun to meet you on FB Last night btw :-)

That's a great challenge - to use something that's unused or underused! My dh plows our driveway and he's putting everything smack dab on top of my perennial garden. Making me nervous, but I don't have the heart to say anything. :(

Challenges are so much fun - thinking "outside the box"!! I was just telling the boy I tutor that he should offer to shovel pathways for people who have plows to plow their drivways! They often don't plow the path to the door, or they push the snow right up on the path! Perhaps you have a neighbor boy who like a few extra bucks! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #60

Oh my gosh..that snow pile! I am so glad to live in a warm place. Have fun using a set that isn't often used for your challenge :) It is a great way to get creative. Shel@paperoctillostudio #45

I can't believe the snow, it's so deep. How do you get around? If it gets below 20 deg c here we all whinge. I like your picture, it looks like a pretty doily.
Have a great week and stay warm.

The street looks lovely and it's easy to say when you don't have to live with it.
If we had snow like that here the place would come to a standstill.

I see you have the bandana cover plate from the County Fair kit. Quick question: Have you been able to successfully cut it out? I've tried and tried and never have I been able to fully get it to cut through. If so, what's your 'sandwich' or trick? Thanks in advance!
