WOYWW 298

My dad died a couple of weeks ago. I was able to fly down to see him in January. He gave me a sampling of his stamp supplies. Helping him with his collection when I was a kid is one of the influences on my papercrafting today. He was a stamp (postage) collector for over 70 years. The top layer is glassine which always makes me think of him.. On top is the what I found at the very bottom of my suitcase, a note from the TSA saying they had inspected my bag allllll the way to the bottom layer. Perhaps glassine reflects oddly? It could have been the spindles and wool.

And it's been snowing for a few weeks. Last week I showed you what the end of the drive looked like. This is the backyard with my Shepherd mix bounding in a futile effort to keep out of the snow lol. The pink line is the amount of snow built up on my pots. Spring seems very far away.

To see more crafty spaces around the world, head over to Julia's Stamping Ground : ).

Happy WOYWW. Sorry to hear of your loss. How wonderful to have the stamp collection as a memory. We have no snow here in Wales - it could be spring except for the colder temperatures. Flowers are starting to come up. Ali x #43

I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing, this is one hard road to travel. You will always have him in your heart with lot of love. I have a really sick dad at the moment and I am doing all I can to make things easier for him. Gosh that snow looks cold but also beautiful, something I have always wanted to see and not on a ski village, just normal people in a snow lived life. Hope you find some crafting time this week.

Happy WOYWW

How sweet that you got to visit your father one last time before he passed. It's nice to know where you got your love of all things paper from. I'm sure TSA thought your bundles of wool were bomb making cords. I can't fathom all that snow. Once it melts it is going to be soggy! Judy #57

Thanks for the offer on snow but we had some white fluffy stuff come down again today and I have a small ice rink in my backyard so I think I'll pass on the extra snow :)
