WOYWW 439

My new Big Shot arrived so I got busy cutting variations of Papertrey Ink's Mix & Mat: Berry Boughs. Each die comes with an interchangeable outer edge, inner frame and decorative background. It needed one folded sheet of printer paper as a shim to cut all the way through, but it works! I'm not sure what to do with my uneven cutting BigKick (but it worked well for most of the 15 years I had it).

Head over to Julia's Stamping Ground for more crafty peeks : D.

I also have a die cutter that I can't remember the name of at the moment - but I had to read the instructions every time I used it, and even then couldn't get it to work! I now have a Big Shot that works great, and I'm not sure what to do with my other one - I wouldn't want to inflict it on someone else! I may just get a great satisfaction in throwing in the dump! Have fun with your Big Shot! Thanks for sharing, have a great week! Lindart #36

Those dies look most intriguing. What a good idea to have interchangeable bits - endless variety! Look forward to seeing what you do with the gorgeous pieces you've cut. I have a Cuttlebug which works fine for me but it isn't very big. Mostly I use it for embossing as I don't have that many dies - and the ones I do have, I keep forgetting to use!! I do like the idea of being able to cut/emboss bigger things with the BigShot though. I'm sure you'll have great fun playing with your new one.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Ah, uneven cutting...we are as one yet again Sally! Mr Dunnit took mine apart before I declared it useless...he says the bearings are worn and that makes the rollers depress less. Well, getting to the bearings would mean practical destruction, so we called it quits. I havent had it for 15 years, but it really has done great service. And as usual, I'm looking for inspiration and have found it on your desk....a die cut mat or border will be just the ticket for something I've been noodling over all night!

It was clearly Bigshot Wednesday. And it looks like you wasted absolutely no time on putting your new one through its paces. Lovely stuff. Elizabeth x #37
