WOYWW the real 472 lol

The last of the stamp sets to be filed away alphabetically. The question is to fill the last bin or use a new box. I have started using boxes to store stamps because why spend money on storage???? Found out I am missing one set, but I am doing pretty well about not freaking out, so there is that. I have OCD, not the tidy sort obviously, but the "I need to know where that thing is" sort. Better clutter that put away incorrectly I always say lol.

I found out from our fearless leader Julia that this week is actually week 472, so I follow her example : D. Head over to her Stamping Ground for a gander at this weeks selection of crafty peeks. The goose you'll have to find on your own : D.

Good morning. Yes, that OCD can be a real problem. Bob hates when I lose things because I will drive myself (and him) insane until the item is found. My stamps are cataloged and filed in Photo boxes (Recollections. The HL boxes are 1/4" narrower) I've started filing my sketch cards the same way using sleeves from brag books... in the box the brag books are displayed in at the store. If I'm not using boxes for storage, I'm putting them down on the ground for mulch in the garden. Multi-purposes and FREE for the most part. Creative Blessings! Kelly #36

I have moved and need to reorganize my stamps in some kind of order so I can find them. Some are alphabetically, some by theme, some by companies, and some by ones with dies. This is not working. I couldn't find my one set with a pineapple stamp and die. I looked for along time for it. Finally found it with international stamps. hmm. oh, well. I should follow your example and get them all done. Also, have you heard of Evernote? I try to put all mine in that app, and then I could look it up in that and find where I have stored it. Trouble is with the move, nothing is where it was!!!!

Happy WOYWW! #31
and ps, I had the wrong number of WOYWW and had to go back and edit my post!

I admit to storing some of my stamp sets in order too, not alphabetically but by the set code. Helen #3

I enjoyed your observation about the missing stamp set and not freaking out about it. Sounds like you join me in being a "completest", My husband heard that word on one of his television programs about antique collectors. If one is good, two is better and having a 'back up to the back up" is even better! He now understands me better!

Not an easy task getting all the stamps into the folders and than into boxes, but worth the effort - that's how I store my acrylic ones. Thanks for sharing today - Hazel, WOYWW 472 #17 xx

I want to know where stuff is but can't bring myself to start the job of reorganising everything but I know I must. Well done you for getting yourself organised. Have a great woyww and happy crafty week, Angela x22x

I like to know where everything is too and I also like to have full sets of inks etc. Good luck getting the last of your stamps sorted. It is a massive job. Have a good week. Sarah #19

My sincere apologies for the late visit. I had an internet meltdown that required a reboot from my carrier and a service repair person who came out and performed his magic.

I guess I don't have that much of any one thing like stamps, dies, stencils, etc., but I certainly get aggravated at myself when I lose something or it somehow walks off without me knowing where it is. Other than that, I think your consternation over the missing stamp set has happened to all of us at one time or another. It's nice to get organized, though.

Happy belated WOYWW from #1.

I'd love to know where everything was and have a place for it all but having no dedicated space mine is everywhere and there is not a room untouched (well maybe one of two!!) I'm so glad someone is organised. I'm so envious.

I love your description of crafting OCD... i almost wish I had it as it would help me not to spend hours searching for the one stamp I know I have but isnt where I thought it should be! I think a proper re-organisation of my stash is in order if I ever find the time. I admire anyone who can be as organised as you. Well done. Take care and thanks for sharing. Caro x #24

I’m late, sorry. Possibly in search of the goose. It remains at a large! I admire your organisation. I am starting to get a grip on certain things that drive me mad. I can quite understand the frustration over the missing stamp set. It may be wedged in with another? I had my clear stamps in a tower of plastic drawers and my ‘go to’ set got stuck to the outside bottom of the drawer above...took me an age to work it all out.
