WOYWW 269

I took the picture in the middle of stamping, that's a first lol. Using some of my favorites, Tim Holtz and Papertrey Ink.  To the right is one of the larger of the Tim Holtz Grid-Blocks. I cannot say how much I love these blocks. It might be the thinness of them that lets me get right up where I want to be, or nearer than I can with the thicker blocks.

They take up less space. So much so I'm actually selling some of the thicker blocks at my garage sale ... well once I get rid of the hornets that have build themselves a spray proof nest in an unseeable corner uder the stairs... well unseeable unless I stick my head under the stair and look straight up, but I'm thinking that would be a bad idea lol. The red is some fun foam I've been stamping on top of, it really makes a difference in the quality of the stamping. But it stains, so I'm thinking I'll put the fun foam under the non-stick mat.

If you want to see more crafty spaces around the world, head over to Julia's Stamping Ground and have a gander. A goose you'll have to find on your own : ).

updated to add: The diamond stamping came down to lining up the gridline on the Tim Holtz block, it just made it so much easier when I can tip the block to angle it up then stamp.

updated again to add the finished card and to clarify, it's not that I care if the fun foam is stained, but that if it isn't well scrubbed, any ink that's left on it can stain the back of the stamping project. I've been spoiled by a quick swipe of the nonstick craft mat lol.

I thought that paper was printed - my word you have a good eye and a steady hand Miss Snap! So what's in the 12oz jar at the back..I can see the word Science...
Good tip about the fun foam..you don't think about it staining.

Good tip about the foam, be careful of Hornets, our son had a sting from one and it was very painful.

LOL! *I* thought that was printed paper too! Amazing spacing. Now don't go sticking your head under the stairs - angry hornets are nothing to mess with! And I am a recent convert to thin blocks as well. Funny how we often seem to discover the same things all at once!

Happy WOYWW!

I too thought that was printed...amazing. The thin blocks remind me of the Fiskars stamping press, which I have and has changed how I stamp - much better impressions. Cx #66

That is AMAZING stamping!! I thought it was bought paper too....you obviously have good spatial awareness :-)
The hornets sound as if they need to be left alone.....no peeking at them. How on earth will you get rid of them?

Thanks fir visiting my blog and making me laugh!

You made that paper and didn't buy it with the pattern on it?! Goodness but you have some patience! And are a whiz with those grid blocks. Looking good! Judy #76

At the risk of repeating what everyone else thought... yep... I thought it was bought paper, too. Great stamping on that sheet - it's so regular. Well done.
Thanks for visiting, and for your comments. A lifetime of sewing for financial reasons has meant I usually feel vaguely confident when handed a pattern and fabric - hmmm...changed this year then!!! Still, I'm getting there - nearly done now. Good thing too, as the first ceremony is only three and a half weeks hence!
take care. God bless.

You certainly are clever, I'm lucky just to get a whole stamp to come out, that is amazing. Bummer about the foam.
Have a great week,

Congrats on making that paper it's one steady hand you have there. I agree when my area gets to bogged down with stash it either goes away or I am to distracted by it in the way lol. Happy late woyww hugs Nikki 8

Ditto to all the previous comments. Good to hear the foam helps with your stamping. I imagine it give a little bit of bounce. The end result is fantastic.

oh I want to know if having the foam under the mat works just as good as on top of the mat. ( I am moving a piece on and mostly off the table)

that is cool that you like those blocks too, I seen them but, have not bought any as of yet. ~Stacy #70

Very clever stamping that - so darned accurate.
Ooh a hornet's nest - be careful - but can you get to take a photo before you have it destroyed. Get the health men in - the experts.
Thanks for visiting me earlier, sorry I am so late I have been on holiday - Hugs, Neet xx
