Papertrey Ink is celebrating it's 10 Year Anniversary with a Stitching Inspired Challenge. I was inspired by the Smokey Shadow coaster set.
These are for my spinning guild's annual auction. I used Papertrey Ink's Baby Bootie Dies, the flowers from the Quick Stitch: Sewing Staples kit, and the hello from the Quick Stitch Sentiments set. The booties are cut from Smokey Shadow and the flowers are Hawaiian Shores, Limeade Ice and Raspberry Fizz.
The idea of embellishing the soles came from the crafty genius, Betsy Veldman. I added a second sole cut from a thinner felt in my stash and it peeks out more in some areas than others but I like the effect.
I added the flowers to the heel piece before stitching it on.
I don't know anyone expecting or even planning on expecting, but these
baby booties are so fun to make. They make excellent purse projects too.

Those booties are the most precious things I have ever seen! Oh So CUTE!
I just think those little booties are Soooo cute. Well done. I've taken a sneaky peek at your knitting as well - hope you get to grips with it. Sounds great fun. How did you decide to join in?
Take care. God bless.
