Oh.my.bug. I have done something I have never done before. I am participating in a Knitalong, not after the fact, in real time.... well snail time but still. The Marled Magic Mystery Shawl KAL to be precise.
So here I am happily knitting along around row 32 of the first section... when I look at my piece and then look at the designer's picture of this section, and about 50 other people's pictures... and that's when I realized I was doing it WRONG... so very very very wrong.
So after a blue streak had filled the space above my house, I ripped IT ALL out and learned that the term yarn OVER means you put the yarn UNDER the needle... and apparently this makes a difference. So here is my rebooted project. Now it looks like it's supposed to look! Apparently I am tenacious AF XD or the knitting embodiment df Sisyphus: D.
On a less frustrating note, I made a ballerina robot get well card : D. Stamping Up Lots of Bots, with Papertrey Ink Background Basics: Retro on the card base background and various colors of Stickles.
Head over to Julia's Stamping Ground for more crafty peeks : D.

There is nothing so frustrating than getting so far with something and then realising that you made a mistake! Quirky ballerina robot card. Sarah #29
The ballerina robot is brilliant, love it. BJ#23
That must have been a very frustrating episode for you! Are you going to have another go? I think I would not have the patience after that! Well done you if you do. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz Xx #11
It's not funny is it? but oh I did laugh... beware because the USA terms are NOT the same as UK or indeed EU, I ALWAYS find out where the pattern originates and look up a diagram for the instruction... I swear (literally) Nationals - they want to cause you max pain .... still it will be lovely when its done and well done you for not giving up! D xxx 32 PS I will march with you on the streets of Paris Washington London and Rome to get better written instructions that have a global meaning = the World Knitting Glossary Organisation - Eh?
I'm only just learning how to knit and I have to look up at each term and do a google search and then watch a youtube video lol. It can be very confusing.
Glad you had the patience to pull apart and start again.
Happy WOYWW
