WOYWW 314

Another day, another card front lol. This one is on Tim Holtz watercolor paper, stamped with one of the flower detail stamps from Altenew's Painted Flowers with Versafine ink, painted with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. The vellum mat is cut with Papertrey Ink's Mat Stack 1 and adhered with Scotch Vellum Tape (put the tape on the paper and then attach the vellum on top... seriously does not show through), and a thank you from Taylored Expressions inked with Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger's Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder. I believe this is a personal record for number of brands used in a single card lol.

At the back is a new die (to me) from Papertrey Ink which cuts a coin purse complete with stitch holes that can be made 3 ways two full size pieces stitched together or fold it  horizontally or vertically. I'm itching to get started with it!

Good Morning Coffee

It's the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. The Certified Coffee Drinker and sentiment stamps are from Papertrey Ink's Latte Love stamp set. The mug is from Simon Says Stamp What's Brewing? stamp set stamped on patterend paper with Jet Black Archival Ink and fussy cut. The checkerboard is from Waltzingmouse's Off Beat Backgrounds stamped in Mowed Lawn over Mowed Lawn blended on the mat. The sun is Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed with a sky of Tumbled Glass. The card base is Ocean Tides by Papertrey Ink.
Simon Says Make It Masculine (3rd entry).

Stonehenge, the card.

I finally made a cut file from a photograph to cut with my Cricut Explore. I was so excited to be making progress in this area I forgot to write down the steps, but I did use filters in Photoshop Elements 6. It is great for fans of Stonehenge AND fans of Spinal Tap (no spoilers in case you haven't yet seen the film).

I think it would be difficult to find a more vintage image than this, so I'm entering it in CAS-ology's Vintage challenge. I think it can also be used as a card to send to a man, so I'm entering it in Simon Says Make It Masculine challenge.

Undercover Pop Up Card

A perfect stealth card, perhaps for someone who is all sedate on the outside, and has an inner party wish.

The pop up part leaves lots of room for a written message (should that be needed).

The card base is Papertrey In Ocean Tides. The card base, Versamark Ink (used to stamp the sentiment on the front) and the Hero Arts White Embossing Powder are the only things that didn't come from the Papertrey Ink Make It Market kit: Party Pops. The pop up is pre-printed card stock easily die cut with the matching dies. Simon Says Make It Masculine, and it will work for that too : ).

Action ATC

Simon Says Anything Goes, so it's an Action ATC.  The pocket is made with Papertrey Ink's Library Pocket die, stamped with a detail stamp from Altenew's Painted Flowers stamp set using Papertrey Ink's Soft Stone inkpad. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Studio Style.

The card is made with two layers of Stamper's Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink die cut with Monthly Moments Mini Journal Card die and with 3/4" punch holes for the finger "feet".

The chicken is from Stampin' Up's Cheerful Critters painted with Scattered Straw and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks. The background is from Iron Orchid Designs Build-A-Frame II stamped with Spun Sugar Distress Stain. The Umbrella Man is from Tim Holtz' Purely Random Stamp set stamped with Papertrey Ink Melon Berry. The pants are made from another journal card stamped with the Library Card mini (with more Melon Berry) doodled around the edge and then edged with Spun Sugar Distress Ink.

Rosey Thank You

This week Simon Says Thank You. I used one of the roses from the Altenew Vintage Roses stamp set stamped in Melon Berry, Raspberry Pink, Autumn Rose and Dark Chocolate Papertrey Inks. It's the same stamp tipped in three directions. I found the layers easy to line up, and forgiving in the practice runs lol. The Thank You sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Say It With Style stamp set.
