Papertrey Ink: Celebrating 2007

Papertrey Ink is celebrating it's 10th anniversary starting with the 2007 release. Both berry sizes from Green Thumb are stamped with Versamark. The tops are heat embossed with Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold and the berries with Sprinkle N Sparkle White Opaque Embossing Powders. Then I painted a little Frayed Burlap and Gathered Twig Distress Ink and applied Golden Rod and Champagne Stickles with a few sequins for good measure. : )

While I wasn't papercrafting at all in 2007, I bought some of the sets later. This is one of my favorites using the Paper Tray stamp set (the first set Papertrey Ink released).

Miss Ewe is made with My Punny Valentine and some stickles for the crown.

And the Thanks Ewes with moving legs. Sadly mini wobbles had not been manufactured yet for the sheep heads. But I might make another : D.

Garden Gate Birthday Card

A gate fold birthday card, featuring a gate on the front made almost entirely from elements in Papertrey Ink's Make It Market kit: Garden Gate. The only bit of stamping in the entire card is the paper before the gate was cut. Stamped with Fine Linen and blended with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. The front of the gate fold before the lattice and gate were attached is stenciled with leafy Garden Gate stencil and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. The sign and flowers are cut from printed sheets included in the kit.

The inside shows the printed card base with the mailbox and removeable letter (which contains a birthday message) from the Make It Market kit: Post & Parcel with more floral embellishments from Garden Gate.

My desk, to the left photos for a layout I've been puzzling over for about 2 years, in the middle my DIY stamping tool made from a DVD case. The instructional video I watched is here : D. Under that is my fine line markers... mostly browns and blacks in slightly varying widths lol. Then my small Tim Holtz stencils (on a ring).

All because I'm trying to clear this space ... where electronic cutters go... The trick of it is not to just bounce things between the two spaces lol. This might take a while : D. On the very very plus side, I uncovered a die set before it was known to be missing from its proper spot, so panic averted!

Not much going on except a little label attaching. This is an older Papertrey Ink stamp set that I used to store in CD cases, except now I store them in Avery Elle envelopes, so I keep the on their original sheet and cut the labels to suit (the newer sets come with the label in the same order as the stamps on the sheets so just peel and stick).

Since my eyesight isn't what it used to be, I find that inking up the stamps on the sheet and then pressing a bit of scrap on it makes it easy to tell which little stamp is which : D.

I'm having a bit of a tidy up amidst some stamping : D. I decided to put my tiny trees all together in a clear bin. I understand some people use these for food storage lol.

I've been knitting up a small storm for the Women's March on Washington. I only found out about the Pussy Hat Project last week, so I got two knit in time to mail off to meet up with friends who will be there. Then I'll knit up one for myself and maybe a spare.

I bought all the Papertrey Ink Traveler's Journal kit components with the gift certificate I got for Christmas. The book is one of the little traveler's notebook one can make with the precut and punched paper and cardstock. There is also a die to make a cover that the traveler's journals can be stored in (and easily removed and swapped out).

All sorts of dies (including the frame in the top picture) which I put to work on all the little scraps I had on my desk.

And a die for these lovely little square envelopes which I had me digging out eyelets and my eyelet setters (never get rid of crafting supplies : D). The one on top is made out of Papertrey Ink's Linen Vellum, the lower one is made with kraft cardstock, and I might be making a serious dent in my 4.5 foot stack of patterned paper lol. I used silk ribbon to make the closure of the vellum one.

My anxiety has been skyrocketing as January marches on. So I'm putting all the Distress Tolerance Crisis Survival Strategies in the handout my therapist gave me into a little book. I'm more likely to remember it if I've written it down and colored it.

Putting together elements for a layout about a stationery gift I made.

It was a lot of Christmas Crafting, but one of my favorites was the guinea pig headband to match one I found for $3.  I made the guinea pig version using Tim Holtz' Trophy Anters and Jingle Brads and took 4 days to sew.

 And here it is on the model : D.
