Tea Stands for Tuesday

I finally had a beverage, some down time and a camera so I can do a Tea Stands for Tuesday with my friend Elizabeth.  I love iced tea (plain tea, no sugar which has now become unsweetened tea in most restaurants). And when my $1's worth is done, I use the insulated cup for water for the rest of the day, especially in the summer.  I was raised on sweet tea, but it's just too sweet for me now.

I am trying to carve a stamp out of a new to me material (clear) that is labelled easy to carve. Erasers are easy to carve (the little pink rectangle which I made into a mouse stamp in about 5 minutes. The clear stuff I'm carving on my crafty cutting board so I don't gauge my nonstick mat and I've been at it for over 45 minutes and only carved about a sixth but safety first : ).

Brave girl you are, carving your own stamps. I don't think I have the patience to do this.

I have never heard of or seen that clear material for stamps, either, but I have a few erasers I've carved using nothing more than a sharp kitchen knife. As long as the shape is simple, I have no problem. But I would never be able to carve anything as intricate at that mouse, let alone anything else. You did a wonderful job and will make this new material work for you, too, I'm sure.

I've noticed sweet tea has really taken on a new life. I'd never heard of "Sweet Tea" until I found some at the grocery store about two years ago. Now it's everywhere, even in fast food restaurants.

Thanks for sharing your stamp AND your tea with us this Tuesday. And thanks for leaving me such sweet comments, even when I was so busy I was unable to return the visit.

Never heard of clear carve your own stamp material...
I really like the pink sheets they sell which cut like butter...
I quite agree about how overly sweet sweet tea is...water is always my favorite go to drink...
Happy T Day to you and good luck with your carving...looks like fun!

I sometimes drink sweet iced tea, but not often. In the summer I sometimes put a sprig of mint and some lemon in there. Most often, though, I don't drink iced tea at all, but water.

I've carved erasers and the flat pink carving stuff but never seen the clear. Great idea though. I don't like my tea sweetened but a slice of lemon is nice.

Hello and Happy T Day! I'm a big tea drinker, that's all I drink each day. I start with a hot cup in the morning then cold sweet tea for lunch and dinner.

Carving stamps is still on my list to do, hopefully I will get one made some day.

Thanks for sharing and have a good week.

Cute mouse stamp! Is the clear stamp going to be a dinosaur? It looks good so far.

Happy T Day! Enjoy your BIG cup of tea. :)

I'll leave the carving to you experts--I don't even think I'd manage the eraser! I have a friend from Alabama who first told me about sweet tea, but I prefer the unsweetened also.

I admire people who even attempt to carve a stamp :) when I had a daycare, I carved a wee bit into potatoes---the kids loved it :)

It's funny, when I drink my tea hot, I don't need any sugar but when its cold, I seem to think it should be sweet!
Hope your Tuesday has been lovely :)
