WOYWW 476

Betwixt projects = clear space in the middle. Still having fun with the Lil Inker Super Coffee set. A side view of Altenew's Faceted 3D bowl, stamp sets to put away, Papertrey Ink's Favor It: Box 5.

The one benefit of hot weather (it was 97F in the shade on Monday), is that it is wonderful for spinning flax wet. The flax dries quickly, and it's warm enough that I don't mind if I spill water in my lap lol. For the record, this is a spindle I made with a wooden toy wheel, a dowel, an eye hook twisted open and some paint. The flax is bleached flax top (combed). One day I will buy a flax strick and spin off a distaff.

Head over to Julia's Stamping Ground for more crafty peeks : D.

Love the piles round the nice clear space in the middle... that's what mine looks like between projects too! Thanks for sharing. Caro x (#31)

Gosh it's ages since I did any spinning. I used to do this with the children when I was teaching Textiles, it was fun watching them trying to spin as I'm sure you can imagine. Have a lovely creative week and a happy woyww, Angela x11x

Wow, how great to be able to create your own thread like that. It's something that I've never tried and I bet it's harder than it looks until you have the technique correct. Great home made spindle. Have a good week. Sarah #15

That clear space is just itching for something inky and painty hee hee!
How fabulous to be spinning your own flax, I so long for lazy days to be able to do such things. A superb handmade tool. Thank you for sharing WOYWW.
