WOYWW 572

Happy 11th Deskers! It's been a day. I meant to get here earlier, but it's been a day. First there was a fire at the end of the block. Then our water turned brown, and then we had none because apparently down the street from the fire there was a water main break.

I baked a cherry pie (canned aka tinned fruit) and loved the cans so much I planned on coating them with Ranger's Mixed Medium (accomplished) and then using them as vases for the forget-me-knots only we have no water .... so maybe I'll press the flowers instead.

Head over to Julia's Stamping Ground for more crafty peeks : D.

Happy 11th anniversary, Sally. At least you got a pie baked, even without water. I hope it gets fixed properly soon. Glad to see you here. It's definitely been awhile for me, so I was glad to see another welcoming "face." Happy WOYWW from #6.

Hi there. Oh my word - not exactly the day you had planned for yourself!! I trust you now have water, flowers, something good to go with the cherry pie, a lovely decorated tin... and are able to breathe out and relax a little after the mania which was Wednesday!!!
Take care of yourself. Stay safe. God bless.

I hope the water is back by now, it's amazing to realize how much you use a little water in a day, if only just to wash your hands (or fill a vase...) Happy anniversary dear one, stay healty safe! Big hug from Holland. Marit #32

Hopefully, they are working fast with repairing at your home? - No water is not good. No food is better ;) But water is important. Looking forward to seeing the decoration of the cans.

Thank you so much for sharing!

Happy WOYWW Anniversary

Sorry I’m late! Bet I missed the pie, shucks. I noticed the label on the can, isn’t it gorgeous, and would have been a great way to display the bluebells. Mind you, they don’t last long either do they. So I hope the water main was fixed quite promptly, not a good outcome if the fire crew were trying to draw water anyway. That’s a lot of stuff happening in one day there Sally, you need to see if ‘they’ can’t arrange for things to be stretched into making a week so interesting!
