Papertrey Ink February 2017 Blog Hop

Today is Papertrey Ink's February 2017 Blog Hop. The laurel and sentiment are from the Make It Market: Lovely Laurels mini kit heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I also sprinkled embossing powder across the background and on the edges. And two edges of the card base are inked with Raspberry Fizz.

 I started with Vintage Cream cardstock as the card base and blended Saffron Spice ink across it (spritzed with water). I wound up covering most of it with the focal image, but I love the effect.

What is barely visible (just enough to break the starkness of the solid cardstock) is the bow from Lovely Laurels stamped randomly with Fine Linen.

And because Simon Says Anything Goes, it's there as well : D.

Experimental Stitching

I got to pull out my purse project container while my car was being serviced. I had this bit of perforated paper that I had spritzed with dylusions ink.

The thread is a ply of unknown naturally colored gray wool (probably romney) plied against a ply of white corriedale (from a Ewe named Eugenia).

And I have to say as I've gotten older, it's become much more difficult to thread a needle. I've spent as long as 20 minutes on a bad day. But this beauty is thread in 3 seconds at most. Cleaning up after a mist of Dylusion Spray went awry. The snowflake die cuts are for a card waiting to be finished, embossing buddy and gold embossing powder waiting to be put away. Packing tape ready for the next batch of packing tape transfers. And the ring of blending foams are about to be transferred to laminated sheets in a note book or two.

Celebrating Papertrey Ink: 2009

Papertrey Ink is celebrating 2009. I used two sets released that year Wishing You and Vintage Picnic. I stamped the foliage with Prairie Grass and the flowers with Pure Poppy (and washed over them with an aqua brush). The picnic basket and the tea towel are die cut and stamped (and painted) with Pure Poppy. The food is stamped with Fine Linen and then colored with Scattered Straw, Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, Peeled Paint, Spun Sugar and Candied Apple Distress Markers. The background is made with a large flat aqua brush picking up Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.

Papretrey Ink: Celebrating 2008

This card features Bitty Baby Blessings released in 2008. The onesie was stamped in Spun Sugar Distress Ink, then colored with Spun Sugar Distress Marker applied directly and with a water brush. The "Ahoy Little Sailor" and the sail boat are stamped with Black Onyx Versa Fine and the sailboat is colored in with Wild Honey and Ground Espresso Distress Markers.

The background is heat embossed with the Compass Rose from Out to Sea and then brushed with washes of Wild Honey and Abandoned Coral. Wild Honey Distress Marker was also applied with the Distress Marker Spritzer.

I remembered it was Wednesday when I was photographing this card (the glamor shot is in the post before this one lol). There has been some crafty goingson, especially because it's Papertrey Ink's 10th Anniversary, so contests about : D.

And I did manage to clear the bit to the right of me, but as you can see it needs clearing again. A bag of tiny embossing powders and my bin of sequins (the buttons have been moved into their own sort of bins... 3 of them in fact.

Papertrey Ink: Celebrating 2007

Papertrey Ink is celebrating it's 10th anniversary starting with the 2007 release. Both berry sizes from Green Thumb are stamped with Versamark. The tops are heat embossed with Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold and the berries with Sprinkle N Sparkle White Opaque Embossing Powders. Then I painted a little Frayed Burlap and Gathered Twig Distress Ink and applied Golden Rod and Champagne Stickles with a few sequins for good measure. : )

While I wasn't papercrafting at all in 2007, I bought some of the sets later. This is one of my favorites using the Paper Tray stamp set (the first set Papertrey Ink released).

Miss Ewe is made with My Punny Valentine and some stickles for the crown.

And the Thanks Ewes with moving legs. Sadly mini wobbles had not been manufactured yet for the sheep heads. But I might make another : D.
